Americans, as Jean Fisher and Robert R. Pankl described in their recent LJ article ?A Focus on the Family,? are turning more and more toward libraries in a search for their roots. Resources such as Ancestry Library Edition, Afrigeneas, and, of course, the National Archives are heavily used in the puzzle that is genealogy, but this new product complements those records with a solid base of family research publications and advice. The database offers content bundles?its ?Getting Started? collection includes, for example, recent titles such as the ?Genealogy at a Glance? books that focus on various ethnicities and the intriguingly titled Collecting Dead Relatives. ?Essentials,? for those digging a little further into the hobby, offers material such as bibliographies of the Library of Congress?s genealogical resources. The backbone of the database, though, is materials focusing on Americans of particular origins, bundles called ?Immigration,? ?Colonial and Revolutionary,? ?Native American,? and even ?Royal and Noble.?
