Executive Director of Integrated Marketing Communications ...

Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah, invites applications for the position of Executive Director of Integrated Marketing
Communications. As a key member of the President's executive team, the Executive Director is responsible for leading the development and
execution of the College's marketing strategies and brand promotion. This includes establishing, managing, implementing, and maintaining
integrated marketing and communication initiatives to increase development, value, awareness, and promotion of Westminster to a diverse
population of students, faculty, staff, visitors, and off-campus members. The Executive Director will report to the College's new President
and play an integral role in guiding institution-wide marketing discussions throughout the process to develop a new strategic
plan.

The Executive Director of Communications is a dynamic and experienced leader who is able to coordinate all of the College's communication and marketing efforts for optimal strategic impact while promoting the College's core values. The Executive Director will supervise an office of approximately 5-7 while collaborating closely with colleagues in the academic departments and in the administration, particularly in the Offices of the President, Advancement, and Enrollment Management. Strategic use and management of external communications and marketing partners is an important aspect of this role as is the demonstrated ability to strategically allocate institutional resources for maximum impact.

Over the past decade, Westminster has experienced rapid growth in undergraduate, graduate, and co-curricular programs, and in enrollment. That growth has been matched by an improvement in the quality of the college's programs, in Westminster's rise in reputation, and in the increased diversity of its student body.

The Executive Director will be responsible to help the college consolidate its improvements, focus its messaging, and respond to the challenges facing private, non-profit institutions of higher education in the future. In particular, the Executive Director will help the college effectively reach new demographics of college-goers, clarify its messaging on the value of a Westminster education, and strengthen the college's brand in the U.S. and abroad.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in a field related to communications required. Master's degree preferred.

Significant years of experience in the field of marketing/communications in a college or corporate setting, including significant management and supervisory experience and experience with brand management.

Demonstrated success in managing/supervising staff and in designing and executing communication strategies, and evaluating their effectiveness.

Demonstrated awareness/understanding of higher education and the unique elements of higher education communication and marketing.

Demonstrated success providing communication and marketing services for diverse populations of current and prospective students, faculty, and staff and in producing successful campaigns targeted at specific diverse markets.

Demonstrated experience with internet marketing, including social media applications, texting, email and website communications strategy.

Track record of creating and sustaining positive and productive relationships with organizational colleagues, outside media and vendor contacts.

Vision, creativity, commitment and a sense of humor are highly valued. Strong writing and editing skills are essential.

Availability to respond to emergencies/crises on a continuous basis.

Demonstrated ability to form and direct creative teams in a collaborative work environment.
